Gasoline Engine Heated Sample Lines

Flexotherm™ Heated Sample Lines for gasoline engine testing, Under 40 CFR Part 1066, are required equipment for the emissions testing. Their purpose is to transport exhaust gas from the sampling point to an analyzer while maintaining a temperature above the dew point of the gas, which prevents condensation.

For gasoline engines testing, Flexotherm™ heated sample lines are critical for accurate measurement of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and hydrocarbons (HCs), which are key pollutants regulated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Without heated lines, these compounds could condense in the transport tubing, resulting in an underestimation of actual engine emissions.
